Aquarium Update 1: Silk Plants

I enjoy keeping aquariums which is a hobby that I have a difficult time sharing with people I know in real life since the only people I know that do this are 50+ years old. Anyway, I have a cute little ten gallon tank that I have been meaning to finish for the last month or two. It looks pretty barren to me right now. I do have fish in it though: a little albino cory and a peppered cory. I need make this tank look a lot nicer before I add more fish so this weekend I decided to get some plants. This is what it looked like before:

Now, I'm a pretty busy person due to school work so I don't have the time or patience to grow my own plants so I chose to use silk plants that I picked up from Petsmart. These are the Marineland C-Size Multipack and they were $16. I prefer the silk material over plastic plants since they move a little nicer in the water and aren't so rigid and fake looking.

Although I like the look of these fake plants a lot, I feel like I still need to do something for this tank. Maybe I need to get a background? I don't know those look pretty tacky to me. Maybe I just need more than two fish to make this tank look complete. I've been thinking about getting a dwarf gourami since their colors are so beautiful but I'm not sure right now. What fish should I get to fill out my tank?
