Spring Essentials: Bottoms

Oops obviously I did nothing over spring break besides vegetate on my couch and binge watch Netflix shows.

But here are the Spring Essentials: Bottoms part that I so neglected. At this rate it'll be fall before I get these done. The way I picked the bottoms were really based on my aesthetics and what I would like to have in my spring wardrobe, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm trying to build a capsule wardrobe for spring and these are my picks.

From left to right:

High Waisted Shorts-$40.00
High waisted pants have been on trend since circa 2010. I am ruler shaped and thus typical high waisted shorts don't really flatter my already non existent waist, but I've had good luck with AE, they're high waisted but not too high waisted where my torso just gets swallowed up.

Striped Maxi Skirt-$65.00
I really love maxi skirts since they're easy and breezy but also keep you warmer than other skirts on chilly spring nights. There are so many outfits I can create with a striped maxi skirt since its not too plain (and I have a lot of plain tee's and tanks).

Asymmetrical White Skort- $24.00
Ok, ok, I know skorts aren't the coolest thing in the world, but hear me out. These are reminiscent of the ones Zara put out last year and they are beautiful. They're a blogger favorite and it seems like everyone has a pair. They're easily dressed up with a nice top or dressed down with sneakers or a loose tee. It just has a really interesting look and I just picked up the white one for this spring/summer.

Black Skater Skirt-$34.00
So black isn't that summery of a color, but I currently don't own a nice length black skirt that isn't a mini so I figured summertime would be the time I could go pick one up.

I've been back at school for one week and already trying to find ways to procrastinate, but I guess that also means more posts????? Good for you guys, and probably bad for me. (And by you guys, I really mean the one or two people who reads my blog. Not including my boyfriend so I guess it makes three)
